Steve Kruglewicz

Steve was born and raised in Gardner, Massachusetts, where he began playing drums at the age of 15 years old.  Early rock bands included US Prime and Zargot, based out of Gardner.  Then came music school at the University of Massachusetts, with a major in music education.  That's where Steve picked up a groove and an appreciation fo drawing out a sound from anything that could be struck with a stick or a hand from the Be-Bop legend Max Roach.

Finding out that playing music was more fun than teaching it drew Steve to going on the road, doing the lounge circuit up and down the East Coast with such bands as Larry and the Exciters, Endless Knights, and Direct Current.  Back in Boston in the Rock and Roll scene of the mid '80's, Steve played with an original band called Tickets and then a cover band from the North Shore called Gambler.  Recently Steve played in a Modern Rock band from Foxboro, MA, called The Invigorators.

His early drummer influences were Carl Palmer and John Bonham and anyone that played with Frank Zappa.  Jazz influences include Max Roach, Louie Belson, and Gene Krupa.  Currently Steve listens to Chad Smith, Kenny Aronoff, Cindy Blackman, and Terry Bozzio.  Aside from playing with the Big Spenders, Steve enjoys recording and composing music with friends in his home recording studio.

Back to the Big Spenders right now, you eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeediot!
